Celebrate Earth Day with the Marin Municipal Water District, Marin Stables and One Tam!
We will be removing French broom from the Canyon and Moore Trails from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and celebrating our success after the project with the world famous “Jimbo Chili.”
The event will be held sprinkle or shine and appropriate for ages 8 and up. Let’s work together to make a difference on our trails! RSVP’s appreciated but not required at onetam.org/earthday.

Engineers for a community discussion on proposed flood control projects in the
Corte Madera Creek floodplain. The meeting will provide an opportunity for
additional public input and supplemental review of the scope of work for the
proposed projects in the Corte Madera Creek, commonly referred to as Unit 4,
Unit 3, and Unit 2.

Join Marin County Parks for its monthly drop-in volunteer workday as they focus on restoring the grasslands of Ring Mountain! Ring Mountain is home to numerous rare and endangered plants, but this habitat is being threatened by invasive species. Volunteer work may include invasive species removal, seed collecting, tarping, and/or installing native plants. Educational components are included as we discuss the plants and animals that inhabit this unique place and explain how volunteer activities are having a positive impact. Drop in days are held on the last Saturday of every month (except November and December). Volunteer work is mildly strenuous and involves bending, pulling, and kneeling, and usually requires a short hike to the site. Dress in layers you can get dirty, wear sturdy shoes, and bring water. Please bring gloves if you have them. Snacks and extra water will be provided. In the event of heavy rain and/or high winds call (415) 473-3778 to find out about event status. In the event of cancellation, program will be rescheduled. RSVPs are appreciated but not required. The Kentfield-Greenbrae Historical Society (KGHS) invites you to a May Day Community Celebration on Saturday.
This year we are celebrating the whole Kentfield and Greenbrae community with an afternoon of vintage kids’ games, maypole dancing, the Kent Jazz Student Band, historical displays, Kentfield student projects, historical tours by the Kent Student History Club, and food trucks.
Friends of Corte Madera Creek Watershed will have a table at the event, and Dewey Livingston will show his newly-updated relief map of our watershed. Come by and say Hello!
