Murphy Creek Cleaning, Kentfield

When:
May 5, 2017 @ 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
2017-05-05T09:00:00-07:00
2017-05-05T13:00:00-07:00

The goal of the event, organized by the Marin Resource Conservation District, the Flood Control District and the College of Marin, is two-fold: clean out the creek to keep it free of large woody materials and other obstructions that could cause flooding, and to build community by having fun and getting reacquainted with our charming creek area. This goes for both the adults and the kids!
On Friday, we will concentrate on pulling out trash, debris and downed limbs, selectively trimming some branches and small shrubs/trees that are in or hanging over the creek bed that will block flow. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring gloves, water and sun protection.
On Saturday, 10 a.m.- 11 a.m., there will be a Q and A session only, for which an RSVP is requested.
If you have questions, or to RSVP, contact Gerhard Epke at (415) 473-6562 or gepke@marincounty.org
Meet at the College of Marin Parking Lot 15, adjacent to Kent Avenue.
