Friends Work Day at Hal Brown Park
Sep 16 @ 9:00 am – 11:00 am

We are looking for 12 volunteers to help us tend to this high marsh habitat at the south end of the park!

We will be planting pickleweed and adding mulch around newly installed plants. We will also be removing non-native plantain. Both of these activities are suitable for ages 7 and up.

Volunteers are asked to bring a water bottle, gloves, and a favorite tool appropriate for the listed activities. Some tools will be available, should you not have any. It’s recommended attendees wear layers (long pants suggested), a hat, and close-toed shoes.

Please RSVP via this Eventbrite link. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/hal-brown-park-restoration-tickets-712540817767?aff=oddtdtcreator

We hope to see you there!

Bioblitz at Piper Park, Larkspur
Oct 14 @ 9:00 am – 11:30 am

Please join Friends of Corte Madera Creek Watershed for a “Bioblitz”!

A Bioblitz is a community science effort to record as many species as possible by using the free app on your smartphone, iNaturalist (https://www.inaturalist.org). Note: you will get the most out of the bioblitz experience if you download the app to your phone before the day of the event.

Bioblitzes are a great way to sharpen your observational skills and connect with the environment while generating useful data for science and conservation! Please join us — it should be a fun morning!

We’ll be meeting at Piper Park picnic table area off the east side of the Piper Park parking lot. All ages and experience levels are welcome.
