Education & Outreach
Increasing public awareness and knowledge of the watershed’s ecosystems is one of our primary goals.
To this end, we have assembled information on the creek and its watershed—from how best to care for them to policy recommendations to guidelines for plants and addressing erosion. Additionally, we have commissioned numerous technical reports and research papers by experts in geomorphology, fisheries, flood mitigation, and more. Friends has become a trusted source of information for the public, local jurisdictions and State and Federal resource protection agencies alike.
Creek Care Tips
There are many ways that the creeks’ natural resources and ecosystem functions can be protected, enhanced or restored.

Reports
Since Friends was founded, we have been making, collecting or having made a wealth of information on the creek, the watershed, its fish and wildlife, biology, and history.
Policies
From time to time, we draw up policies on topical and ocen controversial issues, to add to public discussion.

Creek Chronicles Newsletter
Creek Chronicles, our biannual newsletter, is another important way we share information. Friends also regularly comments on proposed planning and construction projects that could affect the watershed, advocating for its ecosystem and natural resources.
