MMWD will hold a public meeting to solicit agency and public input on the scope of the EIR for the Biodiversity, Fire, and Fuels Integrated Plan (BFFIP).  Written comments must be submitted to MMWD by 4:00 PM February 4, 2017.

White Hill Naturalist Walk

Join a Marin County Parks naturalist to aim for lunch at the summit of White’s Hill, exploring a variety of habitats and the plants and animals that live within them. We’ll make the 1,000 foot ascent at a pace that will allow us to enjoy all of the scenery we encounter along the way. (6.5 miles round trip.) Remember to bring enough water and food. Remember to bring binoculars, if you have them. This walk is for ages 15 and up. We request that no pets (except service animals) attend. Rain my cancel. Love and Romance in the Natural World @ Loma Alta, Fairfax

Join Marin County Parks exploring the amorous adventures of the natural world. We’ll use a car shuttle for this one-way walk, which will give us ample time to search for frisky ferns, sexy slime molds, naughty newts, and more. Remember to bring binoculars, if you have them. Creekside Restoration with One Tam

Join Marin County Parks and One Tam staff to enhance native plants at a site once dominated by non-native grasses and weeds. Dress in layers you can get dirty, wear sturdy shoes, and bring water. HABITAT RESTORATION AT MARIN STABLES

Sprinkle or shine, meet your friends and family at Marin Stables for a day of habitat restoration with One Tam. Have a fun morning pulling broom and then enjoy the world famous “Jimbo Chili” with all the fixins at noon!

Meeting location is the Marin Stables, at the end of Wood Lane, off Porteous Ave. in Fairfax. Maximum number of volunteers is 50. Ages 8 and up.
