Volunteers for MMWD will focus on containing the spread of French and Scotch broom mono-cultures and also eradicate pioneer patches. Habitat restoration begins at 9 a.m. Substantial sandwiches follow field work at noon.

This project requires a mile hike or ride uphill to the project site on Worn Springs Fire Road. Carpooling and biking encouraged. The gate at Natalie Coffin Greene Park in Ross will be open until 9 a.m. to allow cars to drive up and park next to the dam. RSVPs encouraged but not required.
• 8:45 a.m. – Volunteer registration and welcome at Phoenix Lake dam
• 9 a.m. – Hike or bike up to the restoration site
• 9:15 a.m. – noon – Break up into teams and begin work
• Noon -1 p.m. – Lunch celebration at Phoenix Lake
