Join the Marin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, San Francisco District for a community meeting to learn about the current status of the ongoing Corte Madera Creek Flood Control Project. The purpose of the project is to address flooding that breaks out of Corte Madera Creek from Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in the Town of Ross to the upstream limit of the concrete channel near the Ross Post Office, the reach known as Unit 4. Actions to address this flooding will require modifications to the existing earthen channel in Unit 4 and also to the concrete channel located in what is referred to as Units 2 and 3. Unit 3 extends from the upstream end of the concrete channel in Ross downstream to College Avenue Bridge. Unit 2 extends from College Avenue Bridge downstream to Bon Air Bridge in Larkspur. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer period.
